DATA RETENTION POLICY (Schools/Fundraisers)

Academy Technologies retains student data only as long as necessary to provide educational services.


Retention Period

  • Student accounts and test data are retained for up to 12 months after the last test activity.

  • After this period, accounts and associated test data are deleted from active systems.


Early Deletion Requests

  • Parents or guardians may request earlier deletion of a student’s account and data.

  • Requests should be submitted through the sponsoring PTA or directly to Academy Technologies.


PTA Fundraiser Records

  • PTA fundraiser participation records (e.g., number of students, dates, aggregate results) may be retained for accounting and reporting purposes.

  • These records do not include individual login credentials.


Legal and Operational Exceptions

Data may be retained longer if required by:

  • Legal obligations

  • Accounting or audit requirements

  • System backups (which are overwritten on a rolling basis)
